Many Sundays, I collaborate with my older/wiser/good friend Larry Crevin on the "LeaderTips" posted here and sent to leaders worldwide. My new book is also made up of them.
Over the last few weeks, we've been have a series of great talks about the nature of hanging on to something, and the problems associated with letting go, when we know we need to do that.
I've been asking the question: is it always our feelings / heart holding on when our "head" knows better, or is it sometimes the other way around? I said I think it's always the heart underneath, pulling the stings. Larry then said something truly profound, and I couldn't help but include it here for all who may be helped by it:
"It's the head that holds on, but the heart that won't let go." -- Larry Crevin, 1/20/2008
Readers, I wish you well with this idea, if you find it new or helpful.
I am filled with gratitude for Larry's insights, friendship, and for our own particular form of "church" on Sundays!
