Is your team or organization operating effectively enough for you? If not, you may have concluded that your people just don't get it, or have gone off track somewhere along the way. While one or both may be true, the first -- and sometimes most sobering -- place to look is in the mirror. Are you providing clear guidance, and delegating without hovering? Would your people say they can be candid with you, and feel heard? While the answers may be initially disturbing, the good news is that you can usually correct any situation you created, once you take responsibility for the solution. Doing so will lessen your own frustration, and enable your team to take a leadership role in achieving sustainable success.
